Tue..s..day

It's already been 4weeks of school. Missed another morning lecture as i was too tired to wake up in the morning. Slept at around 2 am in the morning, struggling with another tutorial. Seems like it is like a routine already. Received a message from Terence in the morning, as it read something like this,"Hey guys, later 1130 wanna meet at cant a for lunch? Reach first go and booked place k.. ard 7-8 places..". Was wondering who is he asking? got so many place to seat during peak hour ma?..

Anyway, still went to met hms and his gang together with Zhi Wei for lunch. Had a heavy breakfast of sup, bread and just couldn't finish the lunch. Had a talk with Zhi Wei also. Sounds like everyone is struggling. haha.. However, he only had 13 au this semester! wth!! Exempted 2 modules.. But think through it, i was exempted a year..haha.. So this sort of minimised the envious. As i expected, no seats available for such huge group and had to takeaway to N2 there for lunch. Short lunch fellow by doing my lab report while Terence and his gang continue with their discussion. Noticed that Yingxiu wasn't seems to be in a good mood. Wondering why? as Terence and Jie wei asked another girl, friend of her, but she refuse to comment. However, today learned that i better bring along a earpiece as it is not very good to on the music so loud like other people did. Learned my mistake. Tomorrow had another driving lesson. Guess next time i will just learn during weekend and leave the free time on wed for study or some recreation.

Feeling quite tired as they're too much things to do within a short time.. Tired, anyone to motivate me?....

For You, Buddy..

Was suppose to post this blog few days back but due to some work it was not posted until today. This is written for my best ever friend, Yumeng. He is indeed my best buddy. I knew him during the secondary 3. Wasn't really close to him as we don't share much hobby. Like i use to play alot of basketball during secondary while he don't really know how to play. However, still we end up being a great pal. Perhap one incident makes us quite close.. It was during one of the inter class basketball match where i shouted, "Yumeng!" and passed the ball fast across to him. It went straight to his head and rebound back to Terence. After we won the match and i realised Meng actually nose bleeded due to that. Was rather guilty for that. This marks the start of our friendship..

Ever since then, Meng always nose bleed out of nothing. Guess i play a major part of the causes. After "O" level, we went looking for job together with Terence. Although worked in the same company but different location, still maintain contact. Always remember the days where the three of us went up to a building at boat quay there talking about life. It was a great moment especially being with these great buddy. After sometime, Terence gotten a girlfriend and left with me and Meng. Usually 2 of us will go out instead of the usual 3. Playing pool, billiard, ktv, swim, jogging, basketball, watching movie, hanging around... Even when i was moving to hall, he drive me here and there. I'm really glad to have such a great friend. However, i'm really sorry buddy for not being there when you are feeling down. I know alot of stuff kept coming and you must really felt pressurized and down. Your friend passed away and followed by your grandmother. Frankly, when i heard that from you, i don't know what should i say to console you. Just hope you be strong and slowly let everything go.. Don't know what i can really do for you but if you need me for sure i will be there.. friend came only once a lifetime and not to mention we're the best buddy! Anyway, i hope you can get over this and continue with your life ah.. Be strong and determine, everything can be done! Good luck buddy!

Inter Block Games, Day 2

A tired Tuesday started with missing the first lecture. I was really tired out due to the game yesterday. It has been such a long time since i ever play a 5-on-5. It was hell tired. Having alot of cramp at the thigh all day long. I am really getting weak, no longer a IPPT gold. Yet today i still participated in the inter block games, road relay. Everyone who participated seems so good and i just don't feel in a good condition to participate...

As time passes and the game was about to start. Our team was consider quite a strong one with everyone running rather fast, mostly gold timing in IPPT. WOW! We started off with one of the two fastest in our team, follow by another guy, then me, another guy and then my roomie, Dawen. Must be wondering why i kept saying "another guy"? It's because that's the only name i can think for them. Anyway, we started good with the first runner coming back first. The second runner started pretty fast but ended up losing his strength during the last stretch and came back second. Damn it.. I was the next runner! Fortunately, i was able to catch up with the guy infront and provide some space for the 4th runner. The track was quite tough with alot of slope and not to mention some sharp bend. Really had a tough time going up the long gradual slope before passing to the next person. The 4th guy maintained the advantage and passed to Dawen. Dawen was fast. Take his home sweet time in the front part, slowly taking the rubber band (aka baton). However, our team still finish first. Yeah! Brought some glory to our hall and room 1056! haha.. Right after our session is the girls' relay. The biggest upset of the day was our block got not enough girs representative. Overall, we lost the first place to block 56. Hopefully, we'll do better the next time!

Weekend ended follow by Inter Block Game, Basketball.

Today was a day full of lectures. Wonder how did I manage to survive all the lecture and tutorials. Been feeling the Monday blues and of course just don't feel like starting the week with such a pack day. Afterall, it's just a return from a weekend. Weekend wasn't a really great one. Plenty of time spend on resting, dazing and dreaming. Lecture notes and tutorials just stack up on the desk. I really can't get down in completing them. Feel so tired.

Sun was a busy day for me. Actually mistaken the time for driving lesson. Thought it was suppose to be 0700hrs and ended up to be 1900hrs. Freaking hell! Woke up at 0545hrs for nothing. From ubi, took a 2hrs bus trip to school and charged my macbook. Quite not use to the Mac Os system. Anyway that day was really in a rush for time.. Meet Jia Bao at City Hall to take a disc then went to funan it look around and finally rush back to ubi for the driving lesson. It's a lesson that I would never do again I guess. I actually drove from ubi to dover mrt station. And the most interesting thing is that I never took the expressway road! It was a drive with rather high speed I ever gotten.. 80-90km/h.. Reached Dover Mrt and went back to campus.

Today was also the Inter-block games, basketball, for hall 11. It was a long game indeed. Waiting time is extremely long. Played 2 matches, won the first match and lost the final match. It was a great feeling to play with some excellent players. Hasn't been feeling the love for basketball. After the lost, there was this urge to really train hard and get better. Used to be a sharpshooter last time and yet today was totally different. Shot fall short, air ball and all sort of misses. Really hate that. Was actually quite determine to trying win the other team in the final. It was a tough one, facing opponent bigger in size and with team mates not knowing where to go. Had some opportunity to score but I just failed due to fatigue and cramp. It was quite embarrass to miss an open layup. Quite disappointed by my performance. Anyway on the other hand, it was proud of us to emerge as the female champ in hall 11. Way to go blk 54! Alright, going back to my tutorials.. blog again when free.. goodnight..

Arriving Weekend

Finally it marks the end of second week of school. Quite tough and fast. Spent alot of time reading up, revising and doing tutorials. It is a week of full of hardship. Not much time for recreation and relaxing. Everyday seems like a battle of learning.

Recently i have also meet up with my secondary form teacher, Mr Mohd Azman, together with Terence. Glad to see him at NTU. Just like us, he is pursuing his Master Degree in Education, majoring in sciences. Talked to him quite awhile before he head to his tutorial. His encouragement somehow enlightened me and kept me going. He thought me that uni life should not be totally studying as we should balance our life and participate in more activities to gain more in other aspect. I will always remember this words.

Alright, tomorrow is the long awaiting weekend and i decided to do somemore revision in order to catch up with the studies. Nevertheless, yesterday i just placed my name in some inter block games (IBG) of hall 11. Other than basketball, i followed my roomie, Dawen, in joining badminton and road relay. Hopefully can win some games! haha.. Time to go sleep.. blog again when free.. Goodnight!

Second Home

No more reveille 0515..
No more COS..
No more extra..
No more encik gather!

More notes..
More lecture..
More tutorial..
More dead brain cells!

Leading a new life at NTU. Quite similar to NS camp except that i do not need to travel in and out by fastcraft (ferry). However, over here they used shuttle bus. haha.. Daily routine for Monday to Friday was already pre-planned; reveille, breakfast, classes, lunch, classes, dinner, hostel, study, sleep... and it continues.. Indeed army have makes me forgotten of the previous 15yrs of studies. Isn't it incredible? Long time of shouting at recruits and lecturing people during army days while now having lectures and listening to people teachings. Its been 1 week plus of uni life. So far, it was still quite tough adapting to the fast pace of learning. Not to mention having alot of revision work to be done other than absorbing the new stuff. Believe i have really lost touch with maths. Use to top in the school and even in poly i will score distinction for mathematics subjects. Now, i need more time to really understand what the hell is going on. Its really tough, tough, tough!!!

Anyway, above are some pictures of my new house..my bed, desk and of course my green school bag.. haha.. The environment is not as good as i expect. But is still better than in some of the SAF camp that i accomodate before. Most of my stuff seems like green, brown.. looks like army colour huh.. Have i really forgotten about army? haha.. Army life is tough and no freedom but as you goes more experience, things get better and you will start to work more effectively. Whereas, studying is damn stressful and you have plenty of freedom but NO TIME FOR IT! But still have to work for a degree to have a better future and livings. Alright, going to sleep liao.. tml got lecture at 830hrs man! Goodnight everyone!

Friends?

It is 3plus am now. Yesterday or maybe just now went to catch a glimpse of the france display fireworks at Esplanade with Terence, Chyi, Xiu and Bao ge. It was as usual squeezy like hell with people keep pushing your back and roughing to get through. Everyone seems to be so anxious or is it so call "kiasu"? Already at 6pm, City Hall was flooded with people. It is nearly impossible to get a million dollar seats near the railing outside Esplanade, unless you could come around noon time. haha.. Human have natural instinct which is so unbelievable. With the time showing at 8.50pm, you can start to see those people sitting down getting up and rushing to the front. Push and push and push.. I was having quite a good view but a lady asked me if i could let this small girl go to the front to view the fireworks as she was simply too short.. Of course i let her pass and so everyone start to rush through as well and later i find myself just behind a tree! Suggest that there should be a place for children to view the works lor.. Fortunately, people in front of me wasn't too tall and i was still able to have a small view of the display. It was a worthwhie one. The fireworks is simply better than the previous fews, the glittering of the dust and the great impact together forming a heavenly scene. It was fantastic! A few blink of my eyes after the fireworks and i realised most of the people in front have already rushing out! They got the best sits and leave the earliest.. wow.. typical Singaporean!! (applause) Slowly, we make our way out and proceed to the bus stop. I took a bus to PS while the rest of them went home.

I was feeling quite moodless and thinking of alot of things. Out of a sudden, I find myself changed over the years. I use to be a quiet guy that won't bother to communicate and interact with others. Now that i guess i've become a talkative and full of lame jokes person. It seems like i feel arkward with the atmosphere being too quiet. Started to talk and entertaining other by joking or perhaps accidentally making fun of them. I changed - sociable/irritating. Walking alone along Orchard road, i felt so lonely and friendless. Best friends seems to be drifting away, like Terence and Yumeng. Can't understand what they are thinking already or maybe they can't understand me either? past close friends like andy, jasline aren't contacting with me as much as the past. Everything around me changed. I just feel weird and helpless.

Alright blog another time.. hope when i wake up everything will be fine..

Back to blogging!

Hmm..when was the last time i posted a blog? ha..

it's been quite sometimes since my last blog.. So much things to say yet i don't know where should i begin...

Of course, i'll start with the happiest thing of all; I have disrupted loh!!! yeah!!! Now begining a new chapter of my life at NTU. Living in hall, learning new stuff and trying to make more friends! However, things will never be perfect.. I'm really happy to leave the army and being a civilian again but once again i really miss those camp mates.. fir, melvin, zam, she, zeng, fak, hafiz, osman, fayyaz n many.. i miss the days in camp; the chiong sua days with buddy, instructor days working with alot of great fellow commander, kana fish together, running together along the costal road, sharing about life and not to mention being united as a Viper company! Wish those guys in camp all the best in camp and after they ord! Those memories will always be in my heart...

Now back to uni life. Quite similar to poly indeed with the exception that no one cares if u attend lecture or tutorial. Everything is more independent. Lecturers seem to be very friendly and approachable, making us learning in a better environment. First week just passed and lesson seems so much to catch up and absorbing at my maximum pace. Hasn't really get to know the course mate as lectures are always in a large group. Hopefully this coming week with same tutorial groups can get to know few more friends. Hall living somehow seems so bored. With nothing much to do but only surfing on my laptop, listening to music and watching television. Seriously, i feel abit regretted for not joining the freshmen hall camp. Seems like i miss alot of fun and chances to meet some great people. Anyway i shall wait for another chance to come.. haha..
